Parents, in today’s Bible story your child learned that God can do things that no one else can do. God promised Abraham that his descendants would become a great nation, yet he had no children. Even though Abraham and Sarah were old, God provided a son for them.

God’s people have always lived with a tension between God’s will and our own free will. The Bible affirms both, but in our finite minds, it can be difficult to reconcile the sovereign will of God and our own ability to choose.
